The project Ganzepoot embraces the restauration of the monument Albert I at Nieuwpoort, the realization of a visitor center, a shooting range in the underground and also the total ambient construction.

Artes Depret took care of the structural works, the total finishing off and the techniques and this in a very short term of 10 months.

All the works have always been executed with the highest care to not damage the almost 80 years old monument. Particular to this project is the flooring in more than 3200m2 Belgian blue stone, 3600m2 Chinese granite and more than 3000m2 sawn cobblestones as well. All this in combination with a lot of architectural concrete and redeveloped lawns makes the monument of Albert I, mainly restorated by Artes Woudenberg, into its own.

The integration of a unique, underground building with state-of-the-art shooting ranges of 10m, 25m and 50m gives the opportunity to functionality and opportunity to meet each other perfectly in the vacant space.
